1. Web 2.0 tools are no longer viable in schools because they do not meet the ELA standards anymore, but there are still some very effective tools that teachers should be aware of. The first one that teachers should be aware of is Pinterest. Pinterest is a very useful platform for finding ideas and inspiration for pretty much anything. Teachers can find so many cute classroom decorating tips, free worksheet printouts, and much more on Pinterest. It is free to use and so fun to find ideas on!! There are many educational tools such as quiz makers, or grammarly, which checks grammar in papers for free. These tools will be a big help to teachers and they should be aware of these options. I really don't think theres any tools that wouldn't help a teacher in some way.
2. A tool that I found very useful is called Teacher Planet. This website is completely free and offers so many great resources. First, there is a tab full of lessons plans where the teacher can pick a grade level and subject, and then there are free lessons already uploaded to the website along with worksheets and games that correlate. There are also rubrics for projects that can be printed for free. This website is so useful for new teachers because the lesson plans are all written out and can be followed. Here is a link to get started: http://www.teacherplanet.com/
3. I think the biggest technology advancement that holds the biggest promise for education is virtual reality. I think virtual reality is so important for the future in our classrooms for many reasons. One way that it could be used is in replacement for a field trip. If a class can not afford to take a field trip, they can take a virtual one right in their classroom with virtual reality. They can also explore places that are impossible to visit, like the deep sea or outer space and get first eye views of things they are learning about in the classroom. I think virtual reality will soon play a huge role in education and I can not wait!!

I agree that virtual reality is one of the biggest promises for education.
