1. The school website that I found had a lot of information about individual classes is called the Lyme School in Lyme, New Hampshire. On their school website, there are many tabs a viewer can click, such as photo gallery and school newspaper. There are also sections for each grade and teacher, which has games, lessons, and worksheets on it. This website required no log in to view all of these things and is very useful for students and parents of this school to have these resources accessible. Included below is a screenshot of their website. http://www.lymeschool.org/classPages.html

2. I see myself incorporating technology in my classroom in many ways, for both students and my own professional use. For students, I really see myself using a smart board because it is beneficial for students to be able to interact with the material. I also see myself using sites like Prezi to make my lectures on instead of Powerpoint because it is more engaging for students and keeps them paying attention.  For professional use, I can see myself using a platform like Linkedin or Twitter to stay connected to other teachers and stay up to date on educational news.
3. Visiting the technology sandbox was an eye opening experience for me because I was exposed to technology that I had never used before and really understood how it could be used in the classroom. I could see myself using many of the technologies that they have there, but one thing that stood out to me was the 3D pens. These pens give dynamic to normal coloring that younger students would do, and gives them the ability to be creative and have something tangible that they can learn from. For example, if students were learning about DNA, they could make an actual DNA strand and be able to see it in person. This would be so beneficial to visual learners and is a cheap alternative to a 3D printer!

  1. I definitely agree that powerpoint and prezi are a couple ways to incorporate technology in the classroom, and I think professionally, it would be pretty cool to incorporate twitter as well. I love your example about learning about DNA using a 3D printer!

  2. Hi! I agree that technology will be super beneficial as a teacher both for students and personal professional use. I spent most of my time using the 3D pens, so obviously agree that they were super cool. I did find the 3D pens kind of hard to use which makes me nervous for application in the classroom. Hopefully they can make them easier to use because I would definitely use them in the classroom!
