1. adaptive technologies are an important part of education because they can help and support all kinds of learners. These technologies can range from larger print text books, translators, and keyboard modifications. I have known some people who use adaptive technologies in my high school. There were many foreign exchange students that came to my school that would use hand held translators on tests and quizzes and to help them read because they didn't know any english. Also, I know many older people who have their font very large on their cell phones to help them read the screen better. The only challenge I could see in my relating to this technology would be that we did not have the resources available.
2. Blooms taxonomy includes levels of: create, evaluate, analyze, apply, understand, and remember. One can use powerpoint for each of these levels. For create, a teacher could have their students create the Powerpoints and lessons for the day. For evaluate, a teacher could use powerpoint to administer a test or quiz. For analyze, a teacher could use a powerpoint to show data or graphs. For apply, a teacher can use powerpoint to have students apply what they have learned to questions. For understand, a teacher can use powerpoint to give lectures, and for remember, a teacher could use powerpoint to reinforce information or use it for games.

  1. Awesome blog! I found that same website and I agree that it really is a great resource for teachers! I also agree that lack of resources could be an issue when it comes to accessing adaptive technologies.

  2. Hi!
I also talked about how older people need larger text on their cell phones. I think that these adaptive technologies can be extremely useful to us now and as we grow older. I love that the website you chose has hyperlinks for easy navigation!
